SHANNON LA’DOUCE

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH & CONDITIONING + KIDS COACH

BCF Crossfit Banks Country Fitness

Shannon grew up in Banks and returned to the area in 2021 to raise her kids near her family.  Her son and daughter have grown up in the gym with mom and love participating in FUnctional Strength & Conditioning kid classes.  Their fitness as a family allows them to live an adventurous lifestyle here in the PNW.

It is difficult to think of a time that most of her days didn’t involve being on the ice, in the weight room, or out on the field.  Shannon was a dual-sport NCAA division III athlete while she studied to be a nurse.  She became an army nurse after graduating from college and found CrossFit during her time on active duty in 2015.  It was always the easiest and most enjoyable way to make friends and find a community of like-minded people.

For Shannon, her training transcends into mental fortitude and confidence in herself and her abilities in all areas of life.  The gym is her outlet and compass during life’s challenges.  Her favorite part of coaching is watching that same confidence grow in her athletes of all ages. It is never too early or too late to find fitness.

Shannon enjoys coaching youth sports in her community and being a part of helping kids, teenagers, and adults foster their health and self-esteem in the gym and out on the field.  Shannon is an International Sports Sciences Association fitness and nutrition trainer and has her CrossFit Level I and Kids CrossFit Certifications.  Her work outside of the gym involves being a mental health advocate as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.  Her passions align through her knowledge of the benefits of fitness, nutrition, stress-management, and community on mental health.
