KACI KING

TEENS COACH

Teen Coach Kaci King has lived in the Forest Grove community for about 10 years
with her Husband Brad, and their four children, Jackson (17), Ryker (14), Kambri (12),
and Reagan (10).

She started down her personal fitness path in 2015 when her youngest, Reagan, was 8 months
old. This journey was something entirely new for her not having grown up playing sports or
being particularly active. However, she realized shortly after having her last baby, she needed a
lifestyle change. She wanted to be able to keep up with her kids and enjoy all their activities.
Her journey started through jogs around the neighborhood, eventually extending the length of
those runs around Forest Grove. She joined a small gym in the community which offered casual
classes but found it hard to stay consistent and soon realized she needed something more for
her fitness goals to become reality: a community and accountability!

Kaci had a few friends who were members of BCF, and after a short two years of “thinking”
about it, she went to her first class at the box. That turned into one of the most life changing
steps she has taken along this journey. We’re proud to say that Kaci has now been consistently
sweating it out at BCF 5 days a week for 8 years! “I cannot imagine my life without the amazing
friends and this community we have at BCF.” We can’t imagine it without her either.

Kaci says that one of the most exciting experiences she’s had at BCF; is the opportunity to
watch her teenage children experience their own journeys of fitness through the BCF teens
program. Her oldest son Jackson was just starting his high school basketball experience when
the program started, and the teen program helped him stay strong and avoid injuries. Kaci,
Jack, and her other teen son Ryker have even competed together at BCF’s annual in house
competition, The Backyard Brawl. Competing together helped create core memories they
continue to talk about today.

Throughout her life, Kaci has worked with teens and youth in many areas. She has taught
them in church settings, and it seems like there her house is always full of teens laughing
and playing.
“The teen years are such a pivotal time in a child’s life and their development. The teen program
at BCF has provided a space where I’ve witnessed so many teens surround themselves with
peers who pushed them and cheered them on. As a coach, I truly love watching them do hard
things and feel the endorphin rush of a good workout. I am so excited to be a part of this
program at BCF. Together we will help these teens learn to work hard, play hard, HAVE FUN,
and stay consistent.
