JESUS ANDRADE

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

Jesus was born in a small town in Mexico and moved to the United States with his family in 2006. Along with his two older sisters and one younger brother, he settled in Forest Grove, where they have lived ever since.

Jesus reflects on his early years, stating, “As a child, I was constantly sick, so sports or physical activity were not a part of my life. I was a fluffy child until I decided to start playing soccer at around 12 years old. My life changed for good once I allowed myself to be physically active.”

However, after moving to a new country, Jesus found himself in a challenging situation. Surrounded by a language barrier and the difficulties of adapting to a new environment, he transitioned from an active lifestyle back to being sedentary. Balancing work, school, and the need to fit in proved to be exhausting.

One day, Jesus noticed a group of people working out, which immediately caught his attention. He memorized the acronym “BCF” and, as soon as he got home, Googled it. After reaching out to Trevor, Jesus found himself at Banks Country Fitness, and soon after, he was doing burpees for fun.

Jesus later earned his certifications to coach, further deepening his commitment to fitness and his passion for helping others on their health and fitness journeys.

In addition to coaching at BCF, Jesus is also committed to giving back to the community. He works with elementary school children through Organización de Amigos, a program that introduces CrossFit and fitness principles to kids, helping them develop healthy habits from a young age. His work with children is a reflection of his belief that fitness is a tool for lifelong growth, both mentally and physically.
