ANIKA PETERS

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH & CONDITIONING + LEGENDS + KIDS COACH

Anika's athletic journey began at the age of three when she started taking ballet classes, where she first learned the importance of practice, dedication, and the rewards of skill development. These early experiences sparked her passion for sports and a deep understanding of what her body could achieve.

At 13, Anika joined the inaugural kids’ class at Banks Country Fitness with some friends, and immediately fell in love with Functional Strength & Conditioning. She was drawn to the sense of community, the opportunity to lift weights, and the personal challenge of competing with herself to continuously improve. Her enjoyment of the sport, combined with the camaraderie of her friends, led her to fully commit to Functional Strength & Conditioning, eventually putting aside ballet. Throughout her teenage years, she competed in various teen competitions, always eager for her next training session at the gym.

The years Anika spent training in Functional Strength & Conditioning fueled her passion and inspired her to pursue a degree in Kinesiology- fast forward to May of 2022 when Anika graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She aims to share the love for fitness that her coaches at BCF instilled in her with others.

With a background in kinesiology, Anika understands the importance of continued exercise and fitness practices as we age. She is excited to apply her knowledge and experience by coaching both Functional Strength & Conditioning & Legends classes.

The constant activity doesn’t stay on The Farm for Anika, in her downtime she can be found playing disc golf or complicated board games with her friends. Anika values quality time well spent with her loved ones, most of which she met right here at BCF.

Whether pursuing her passions for disc golf, spending time with friends, or enjoying the company of her rescue dog, Phil, Anika finds balance and joy in both her active and downtime activities.
